August 13
A day that saw the birth of such famous men as Alfred Hitchcock and Fidel Castro
And in the year 1980, the birth of me, Douglas Daniel Weimer
The world was never the same again
Um, seriously, though, I was born on August 13, 1980. I grew
up in a small community called Avilton in the Appalachian Mountains
of the Western part of Maryland, USA. I attended Route 40 Elementary
School, followed by Northern Garrett Middle and then High Schools. I
continued my education at Towson University
where I studied Computer Science. While there, I spent three years as
a Resident Assistant and also studied Japanese language for two years.
My Japanese professor, Junko-sensei, encouraged me to apply to the Japan
Exchange and Teaching Program (JET) and become an Assistant English
Teacher in Japan. Well, as fate would have it, I was accepted into the
program. I now live in the city of Asahikawa, Japan, on Japan's northern
island of Hokkaido.
...
Um, that's about all I want to share about myself right now.
So that's it
