Asahikawa International Committee's Friendship Party
The Asahikawa International Committee
holds Friendship Parties to welcome foreign visitors and residents
of Asahikawa and also to help Internationalize the Japanese residents
of Ashahikawa. The turnout for the Friendship Party this time was
great. We had a lot of visitors from all over the world, including
Egypt and Tanzania.

Mini-Volleyball Competition in Tanno-cho
Travis held a mini-volleyball event
in his town this weekend. For those who don't know (I didn't), mini-volleyball
is a sport that is basically the same as normal volleyball, except
that the ball is softer and more beach-ball like and the court is
smaller, making the game a little easier. The ALTs in attendance
were grouped with Junior High students into teams.
